South Africa is struggling with the challenge of widespread unemployment. Currently, 34.5% of our population is unemployed which has resulted in many other challenges such as crime and poverty.
Work 4 A Living is a non-profit organisation with a vision to address the issue of poverty and unemployment by providing job and business training that is easily replicable and self-sustainable.

What does Work 4 A Living do?
Our W4AL training centre is where the unemployed are able to come and be fully equipped to join the workforce or start a business. The focus is on providing quality training and empowering individuals to make a real change in their own lives and in their communities.
What courses are available?
W4AL offers a variety of courses that suit your specific need.
If you are looking for a job, start with the W4AL Foundational Job Readiness program. You will learn how to complete your CV, how to do interviews, what employers are looking for, how to be excellent at your job, and much more. After successful completion of the Job Readiness course, you’ll have access to our job center and other opportunities to learn more skills or further your education.
If you want to develop yourself further, then Wired 4 Business Course is what you need. This is a facilitated 20 session course, followed by 10 sessions of group based mentoring, designed to get you to start and grow a business. WIRED 4 Business will teach you social media marketing, sales techniques, business plans, break-even point, paying yourself, record keeping, merchandising and so much more.
Upon completion of either the W4AL Job Readiness or WIRED 4 Business course, you can access one or more of the many skills courses available. Our skills programs include SMART Finance*, Cashier, Merchandising, Office Administration, Computer Skills, Barista Training and more. Practical courses such as Barista Training are run at our centers, whereas many of our other skills courses can be done either at our centers, or as online courses on our website.
